ISSA CIMS (Cleaning Industry Management Standard) is the global benchmark created by the International Sanitary Supply Association for management practices inside professional cleaning organisations. It covers six management areas: quality systems, service delivery, human resources, health & safety & environmental stewardship, management commitment, and (for the GB version) green building.

Why it matters for procurement

For procurement teams, CIMS certification signals that a cleaning provider has documented systems — not just a low quote. Tier-1 facility operators in education, healthcare and government increasingly require CIMS or equivalent as a tender pre-qualifier. Without it, you carry the management risk yourself.

How White Gold Collective applies it

We operate to the CIMS-GB management framework: documented SOPs per site, weekly QA scoring, monthly KPI reporting, and a closed-loop corrective action register. Every recurring contract gets a written governance pack mirroring the six management areas.
